Pastor Mary accepted her call into the ministry in November 1994, which she acknowledges as a call to a life of humility and service (“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” 1Peter 5:6)
Having accepted a life of humility and faithfully serving the ministry, she received her Ministry License in February 1999. God exalted her to pastorate in June 2001, when she was Ordained and appointed as Assistant Pastor of Victory Praise & Worship Center. Pastor Mary is a member of the Potter’s House International Pastoral Alliance and received Affirmation and Ordination in the Ministry on September 25, 2004, by Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Pastor Mary is the founder and director of the Victorious Women’s Ministry. She is also the founder of the Victorious Women of Worship Praise Dance Ministry, the Glory Gurlz praise dance team, and the G.E.M.S. Mentoring program for young girls. Pastor Mary serves as host for the annual Victorious Women of Worship (V-WOW) Conference.
Anointed teacher, Pastor Mary Whitaker teaches in all areas of the ministry, directs the Christian Education program, and trains others to study and teach the Word. Her personal passions are studying the Word and pursuing God in Prayer.
Pastor Mary is a native of Miami, Florida and a retired military veteran, having served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. Her academic achievements inclued: B.S. Masters in Education, and Masters in Public Administration. She is married to Robert J. Whitaker, Sr., Pastor and Co-founder. The Whitakers have five adult children.
Pastor Mary acknowledges that she is yet being perfected in her role as a standard bearer for holy living. Her greatest desire is to teach the word of God and inspire women to live holy.
